Charity Fundraising

Personal, social and health education (PSHE) helps to give pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident,

healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active, responsible citizens.”(Guidelines for PSHE and Citizenship, Curriculum 2000)

As part of our PSHE education we have raised a great deal of money for various charities.

Sept 2018 - McMillan Coffee Morning £370.36

Nov 2018 Children in Need - £232

Dec 2018 Christmas Jumper / Save the Children £110.12

January 2019 - Winstons Wish £146.66

January 2019 - Wear A Hat £306.67

March 2019 - Red Nose Day £246.53

April 2019 - Wear A Hat £306.67

June 2019 - McMillan - £219.22

July 2019 - Green for Grenfell £119

The certificates are on display in the corridor on our "Fundraising" wall.

Our motto at school is," A penny on its own is not a lot, but put them together and look at what we have got!"

Children are encouraged to put small change into our penny bottle and each term the money is counted and donated to our chosen charity. The children are always amazed (as are we) when we hear the total.
